What is TryPSL
TryPSL is a free PSL calculator that rates facial attractiveness on a 1–8 scale. The PSL scale is an informal rating system that grew out of online appearance discussions, and there is no official scoring standard. TryPSL measures facial proportions in a photo and combines four geometry scores using a published formula.
The result describes how those measurements fit the tool's scoring rules. It does not tell you your rank in the population. Lighting, head angle, expression and camera distance can all change the result, so a clear, front-facing photo works best. TryPSL presents the score as an entertainment estimate, not a scientific or medical assessment.
Key features
The free test finds 478 facial landmarks in your browser and measures the relationships between them. Those measurements, without the photo, are sent to the server to calculate four scores: facial harmony, facial symmetry, angularity and dimorphism. The four are combined into a PSL score out of 8.
You can pick a male or female rating standard, which affects only the dimorphism score. Results include a score band, the four individual scores and photo quality hints covering lighting, sharpness, head angle, expression and face size. The free test needs no account, and your photo stays on your device.
