About AI Badge
What is AI Badge
AI Badge is a project that offers a universal, freely-licensed badge to mark images as AI-generated. The creator noticed that aside from a few cryptic watermarks like DALL-E's color strip, there was no standard way to indicate AI generation. This badge aims to fill that gap, providing a simple and recognizable mark for transparency.
Key features
The badge is freely licensed, allowing anyone to use it without restrictions. It is designed to be immediately recognizable, making it easy for viewers to identify AI-generated images. The project also provides usage guidance, recommending that the badge be at least 5% of the image width (with a 50px minimum) and placed at the bottom-right corner, positioned at a distance from the edge equal to ¼ of its width.
Use cases
The badge is intended for individuals who use AI to generate images and want to be transparent about it. It can be applied to images shared on social media, blogs, or any other platform where AI-generated content is posted. The creator notes that some people use AI without intending to deceive, and this badge offers a way to clearly communicate the origin of the image.
Pricing
The badge is freely licensed, meaning it is available at no cost. The project also plans to release the source Sketch files in the future, allowing others to create their own versions or adapt the badge for different languages and contexts.
