About 2pods
What is 2pods
2pods is a podcast discovery tool that provides personalized recommendations. Users select three podcasts they enjoy, and an AI model trained on millions of episode descriptions identifies similar shows. The service then sends a weekly email with two podcast suggestions: one the user might have missed and a perfect follow-up. It aims to reduce the time spent scrolling through generic lists by offering curated matches based on individual taste.
Key features
The platform uses a similarity ranking system based on real podcast content, not just popularity. It has matched over 3,000 pairs across various genres. Users receive a single curated email per week, with no login or paywall required. The service also offers a 'browse by mood' feature, allowing users to explore recommendations sorted by categories like motivation, comedy, true crime, and more. Each pair is explained in a concise 250-word description.
Use cases
2pods is ideal for podcast enthusiasts who want to discover new shows without extensive searching. It is useful for listeners who feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of podcasts available and prefer personalized suggestions. The service can help users find podcasts that match their specific interests, whether they are looking for something similar to a favorite show or exploring a new genre. It also serves as a tool for discovering hidden gems that might not appear in mainstream charts.
Pricing
2pods is free to use. The website states 'No login. No paywalls. Free forever.' The weekly email subscription is also free, and users can unsubscribe at any time.
